Ah, Joe Vig. What a guy. And it’s hard to nail down what he considers his “day job.” Here I caught him tending to an Asparagus patch, so I wondered if perhaps that is what our LEGO fan-favorite is up to these days.
This one reminds me of the scene from Ice Age where the Dodos are guarding the food supply — melons. And the intelligence level of trolls is probably about the same. Tae Kwan Trollos–Attack!
Hmm. Looks like the Bad Minfigs get grilled today — and I don’t just mean that they were asked difficult questions. These unhappy little LEGO minifigs just don’t end up in the best of places.
Buster. Yeah, that seemed like an appropriate name for a giant troll. Especially one that eats birds for breakfast. Yup, that’s right. You won’t find too many herbivore trolls. At least not in LEGO. Well, maybe that’s debatable — since they technically don’t really eat. It’s just up to your imagination what they would eat if they could eat. And my imagination has Buster eating birds. Or at least trying. I think he’s been standing there for a couple weeks now. I wonder how he keeps the strength to hold that club up for so long…
Yes, I think it would be great to have a series of Superman LEGO sets. There is a lot of great material there and I’ll get into that more over the next several posts. Not sure that I would follow Joe’s approach and get a petition going, but it’s worth a thought. As a matter of fact, Joe’s going to be working pretty hard to get signatures over the next several days. Stick around to see if he gets anywhere.
Looks like USPS is about to have a run-in with the Bad Minfigs. Who knows where they’ll end up next. Hopefully they don’t get stamped “Return to Sender.”
Hmm. One reason I think it would be cool to have Superman LEGO sets? I see the cover of Action Comics #1 making a very awesome $10-$15 set, for one. Sure, a Superman minifig, 3 crooks running away, and a car that you get to smash. Seems like some of the most popular things (besides the Clone Wars) are vehicles. And minifigs. So there you have it.
Though if Joe Jerry is having trouble convincing people, maybe I would, too.
Whaddya think? Superman LEGO sets … good idea? bad idea? Why or why not?
With all the dumb luck Indiana Jones gets dished his way, he must have a lot of nightmares about things going the other way. This is just one of them.
Much of this scene is courtesy of set #7195: Ambush in Cairo. I just added a backdrop, swapped the weapons, and took a picture.
Looks like Joe Jerry, like everyone else in the news lately, has lost his civility. He’s starting to take the rejection of his Superman LEGO set petition a bit personally. And he only just got to asking his third person.
Some people like a little push on the swing. Others are less convinced. That’s how things fall even on The Brick Side. Oh, and I guess you could re-title this one alliteratively, “Patrick Pushes Percival.” You Brick Side Trivia buffs will note that this is only the second time I’ve used a “real live person” in the comic. That’s sure to show up in the official “The Brick Side” version of Trivial Pursuit. =)
Looks like this guy has signed some petitions before, but I’m not convinced Joe’s going to want his signature. Lets just say he’s a few bricks short of a LEGO set.
Seems like Joe might have gotten this guy’s signature if he wasn’t so worried about making sure the guy knew what he was signing. Alas, those big blue boy scout types!
The Brick Side: a LEGO-built webcomic, now with Redneck appeal. =)
