This episode is dedicated to the people who call me on the carpet for making new comics out of photos I’ve used for previous comics. =)
It’s also related to my 365 day project I’ve just started entitled “13 Frogs.” I plan to take one picture of 13 LEGO Frogs every day for a year. It took me a while to figure out what to do for a 365 day project. After I started thinking about LEGO frogs, I liked the idea better. And it really stuck when I thought about 13.
And I’m hoping to start posting comics more regularly again, now that I’ve found most of my LEGO after our move, it should be a little easier. =)
Oh, and you’ll probably start seeing more frogs here. I’d almost forgotten that one of my first LEGO web comics (pre-dating the brick side) included frogs. If you look closely — there are two visible, though one is not green.
Whoever said “Roaches are our friends” has obviously never engaged a Roach in hand-to-hand mortal combat. Spartacus has. And prevailed. Gloriously.
“Step on a crack and you’ll break your mother’s back.” Or at least, that’s what the old saying alleges. I think there are enough mothers out there with their backs intact to keep this little rhyme from hitting Mythbusters. On the other hand, LEGO frogs are different. Maybe we do need to feel sorry for Carl’s mama…
Can somebody say, “Merry-go-round?” I think these frogs are in for a big surprise.
Incidentally, that CD is a favorite of ours, Eine Kleine Kaffeemusik. There are 3 in the series. You can listen to samples or order on mulfingermusic.com. (This was not a paid endorsement — I just really like the music)
Could be bad medicine for the 13 frogs.
Better check the label to ensure you’re getting a proper dose of The Brick Side: a webcomic built with LEGO bricks. And it’s cherry-flavored!
If you’ve ever watched a single episode of Bob the Builder, you’ll understand today’s 13 Frogs tribute. My boys used to watch it all the time … then they got a little bored with it, but now my girls are really into Bob the Builder, and so the boys have been watching again, too.
Of course, since it’s the 13 Frogs, we have Spartacus to lead us along in our chores. These LEGO-built construction vehicles should be recognizable as 2 of the variations from a 3-in-1 mini construction set. And the sand … well, it was on loan from the ocean. =)
