Loading ...This, of course, is a reference to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I’m thinking specifically of a line from the theme song used in the cartoon that started back in 1987 and ran for 10 seasons. I’m not sure if the line “heroes in a half shell” occurred in other variations (later cartoon incarnations, the original comic book series?) but if you caught any of TMNT for that 10 year span, you’ve heard the line.

I think you need to rename the theme, I count 14 frogs. And when my nephew was aboot 2 it took a stuffed ninja turtle’s strength to hold him down so he would stay in his bed and go to sleep.
@Siabur Nice. 14? I usually have an extra frog or 2 on hand when setting up shots in case I lose one while setting it up (has happened). Unfortunately, sometimes I get an extra one in there. Sounds like it might be a fun statistic to go back through all the 13 Frogs theme and see if my average number of frogs is closer to 13 than to 12 or 14. Then I could rename it the 13.125 Frogs.
You know friends do stop by once and a while. Maybe distant realitive is in town?
@Siabur. Good point. Why didn’t I think of that? Something like this, “14 Frogs? Well, of course, Spartacus’s mother-in-law’s cousin’s uncle twice-removed happened to be in town and got in the shot for old times’ sake.”
