I’m really enjoying the new series of Collectible Minifigs that LEGO has produced. I’m using 3 of them above (Crash, Grog, and Braaaaiiiinss — not their official names). Unfortunately, the distributors that sell thes (e.g. Toys R Us in the US) grossly underestimated the popularity of them and the whole world-wide production run sold out in about 2 months. Another unfortunate thing is that, while series 2 is due out within the next coupla months, the amounts produced are about the same as Series 1 (they have to plan these runs like a year out) — so I have a feeling that more people are going to try to snap up Series 2, and they’re going to be harder to come by. The scalpers are really going to be out after these ones. But series 3 (for next year) should have a much higher production run.
Alas, the woes of a collector! None of which really has much to do with today’s episode, but I find it all pretty interesting.

Out of the collectibles, I don’t have any, I wanted the caveman, clown, cheerleader, and one other. Maybe someday…
@ Siabur — I happened to walk into a Toys R Us the day they got in the second wave of Series 1 — unfortunately I didn’t have my cheat-sheet to tell me which bar code corresponded with which minifig, so I had to sit there for a half hour comparing bar codes until I was certain I had all 16 different minifigs. But that isn’t going to work for Series 3, since LEGO realized what the adult fans were doing. Just means I’m going to have to buy a whole case … start saving now!
